Our unique approach
Here at stevehubbardmusic, we teach how guitarists actually learn guitar. Not out of books, but from many years of playing at a very high level. Our one-to-one approach zooms in on any weakness that might occur in your playing and stops bad habits before they develop. We teach the 'tricks of the trade', so students progress smoothly and quickly. The goal is to provide satisfaction, and above all - enjoyment!

Who can learn?
We welcome students from beginning to advanced intermediate levels. Many of our students have gone on to become very advanced players, obtaining University degrees in music and becoming involved in the recording industry. If you're serious about guitar, you're in the right place.
Your progress path
Students will start off learning the fundamentals of guitar playing and music in general. From there, they will learn how to play a variety of songs from our catalog of over 1,000 pieces. These all have audio backing tracks and are accessible through our online portal which is free for registered students. The next step is teaching the student how to play any song just by listening to it. This involves understanding how chord progressions and scales work together to create music.
Create your own music
Finally, the student learns how to create their own music and improvise. This enables students to sit in at jam sessions, record their own music and play in an originals band or small group. They will also learn how to record their original music in a Digital Audio Workstation. This is a great way of obtaining a permanent record of their efforts. From start to finish, this is a complete method that really works! As is evidenced by the hundreds of students that we have taught over 30 years.
